Leigh Lauv

Leigh Lauv is a medical laboratory scientist in the Biochemistry Department at Awanui Wellington, where she also serves as a quality control officer. Leigh earned her Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science in 2025 at the University of Otago, conducting research into vitamin D testing practices across New Zealand and uncovering crucial trends in testing volumes, equity, and resource use. She is currently undertaking her Master of Medical Laboratory Science, with a research focus on rare autoantibodies linked to autoimmune neurological diseases. Leigh is dedicated to using laboratory science to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and promote equity in healthcare.
