Andy Hearn

Andy is an experienced tertiary educator, having worked in several management and academic roles over a 15 year period at Ara Institute of Canterbury. Initially trained as a physiotherapist, he has also spent 10 years working in senior health, safety and wellbeing roles, including four years responding to staff wellbeing challenges at the CDHB immediately following the Christchurch earthquakes. Andy is currently Programme Leader for the NZ Diploma in Applied Science (Level 5): Pre-Analytical Technician pathway. In his spare time he loves surfing, travelling and sampling Two Thumbs craft beer.
