Josh Robb is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Tend, a vertically integrated primary care provider operating medical centres across New Zealand, with its own PHO and a clinical platform built in-house. Josh also chairs the board of Arataki PHO.
Josh leads Tend's operations, technology and AI programme. His focus is on building a healthcare ecosystem designed around the patient: convenient access to the right care first time, tools that let people take control of their own health, and less administrative burden on the primary care workforce.
Josh has demonstrated that digital access should be judged on whether it reaches the patients who currently get the least, and holds his teams to it: the software they have built has lifted access for Māori, Pacific peoples and patients in higher deprivation areas.
Before Tend, Josh spent more than 20 years leading engineering, data science and design teams, most recently as SVP of Product and Engineering at Pushpay.
